"When in Rome do as the Romans"
One day, while whiling, a thought fought to the surface of my consciousness:
Individuality is one of the most difficult qualities to nurture within oneself.
We all want to be accepted, loved, a part of the whole in a most interesting, warped way.
Our particular characteristics tend to be a part of a trend. When in Rome do as the Romans!
I ask myself: "What qualities distinguishes me from all the other entities in my reality? What is my sole and personal nature? Do I have ...distinct characteristics?"
It is time that we individuate, to form into individual and distinct entities. Time to bury the lie: When in Rome do as the Romans!
I exist to be a distinct individual, to exercise my right to individual liberty. I bask in my new found freedom.
Meanwhile, In another time and place... A Christian is thrown to the lions.
