"Proper Perspective"

As the orange crimson fireball tops the horizon,
Dolphins dance amongst blue marlins.
I listen to the ocean's crashing glee
while gazing upon the a blazoned frothy surf,
crashing and smashing heavenly white noise.

High tide that I am here,
but for a long quickened moment,
to receive the blessing of proper perspective.

Strength of will, courage and discipline.
The trinity of achievements won.
Empowered by the vastness
of the infinite ocean spread out before me
with it's salty sweet scented breeze.

High tide that I am here,

to receive the blessing of proper perspective.

Every morn,
a young lad goes down to the surf
to write messages of love to his sweetheart
in the smooth sea shelled sand.
She stands upon a high balcony with abounding love,
gazing at these words from the heart
as a gull floats lazily in the breeze.

Love, devotion and surrender.

watching amber yellow clad fishermen
casting nets and lines,

a day at a time,
while an alarm clock unwinds.
