Download a free program called filezilla. Google it to get a copy of the program. Keep a backup copy of all your site files on your computer. If your web host or site gets hacked and your site gets messed up you will have a clean backup of the site. It is the only way to guarantee you will be up and running again with little or no loss of content. Most web host do automatic backups of their servers, though a little data can be lost depending on the web host. Backup your files, better safe then sorry. Also, I suggest making up a dump backup of your database if one is in use.
