About Ogdenian - Ogden McGahan Biography

The name Ogdenian was derived from "King Ogdenian", a term of endearment a restaurant staff in New York City used whenever Chef Ogden came into work during the year of 1986. He found that it was almost impossible to register a domain containing the word Ogden due to all the sites of cities, towns and villages named with Ogden, and then remembered the staff's nick name "King Ogdenian", thus began Ogdenian.com.

Ogden McGahan, was born in New York City during the year 1959. Having traveled far and wide with a love for the creative arts he has found himself metamorphosizing into an artist. During his early teens he spent many an hour painting, sketching or drawing...Peter Max and Salvador Dali being his favorites. Also, he started his career as a gourmet chef at the ripe age of fifteen. He has owned restaurants in Binghamton of New York and Merrick Long Island. Also, he then received a Bachelor of Science Degree for Music Theory and Composition in 1981. He always enjoy playing keyboards for various types of music productions, everything from jazz fusion to his original compositions. He started to write prose poetry in 1991 and then proceeded to do spoken word performances in clubs across the state of New York. Ogden has had several of his works published within arts and entertainment magazines starting in July 1997. In 2007 one of his prose poems was used to create lyrics for the title song on the album "Amber" by a German heavy metal band named "Darkside".

One day, Ogden started playing with multimedia graphic programs and showed some of his creations to his poetry friends which he met mostly through the early stages of Ogdenian.com when it was mainly a poet hangout with a forum that took on a life of it's own. A businessman that enjoyed and wrote prose asked Ogden to create multimedia files for his business for a generous fee and a multimedia web design business was born. Ogden has been doing multimedia design services ever since, the year was 1998.

Ogden McGahan exercises his creativity in so many different art forms: web design, cooking, writing, digital art, e-motion art, music, and sculpting. He is the epiphany of a new age renaissance man while juxtaposing the different artistic mediums together in a wonderful combination of artistic talents.

Be it his love of music, literature, art, cooking or the digital realm he has always found a way to share these gifts given to him at birth. He believes that you can't be fully happy unless you're exploring your God-given gifts to their limits and capacities.
